I favor the HD version. Sure they cost a few more pennies but IMO they look better.

Hoggchopps here also, They do a great job at a nice price.

 

Is it the pics or does the Hogg Chopps cover more of your leg and knee area? My knees are what gets the coldest.

 

It sure looks like they do. Coparing them to the HD's the top of the HC's stick out farther at the top.

 

In my opinion, they do a good job of stoping the wind that comes up from below the fairing and helps curb buffeting to the helmet. No method is perfect, but the wind hitting me in the face from below has been dramatically reduced. When it rains, my legs still get wet for what it's worth.

 

There isn't much that is going to stop that, a car?!No matter how much gear one has on when it rainsthe rain always settles in your crotch anyway.[8D]

 

Do the HD version come with the pockets up top or are they just a shell?

 

You have to add the glove boxes...

 

Glove boxes are extra......$160.00 each. Does someone make after market one?

 

Personally for the $50 or so I went with the botton on vinyl ones that I can fit in the saddle bags and take on and off as I feel fit? On colder mornings on my way to work I button them on, stay toasty warm and for the ride home at night I might end up taking them off
