Default Power commander 6

Howdy, bought a 97 road king last febuary an kinda went on a spending spree...beings it was new to me I thought I would buy bolt on/ plug in power adders to the 80 cu in EVO including the PC6. Bike is FI With the M&M which I can maintain and it runs great. What Can I expect with the PC6? Will it really increase hp? I bought a cheep win 11 laptop just for use with tuning. Thought it sounds fun.

EVO 80 is what it is. Fun but it is by no means fast. Now right cam, exhausts that work together . AC and tune it will run down the road much better. If you wish to spend the money some head work will allow the CAM to give you even more.

I was never a big fan of boring the EVO out

Especially if you are talking bone stock with OEM tune...

However, if there have been any mods and it was not properly tuned, a proper tune can add a decent seat of the pants difference. Or, if it has been tuned before for any reason, and not tuned well, then just adding a good tune might again add a noticeable seat of the pants improvement..

I added a set of shorty headers, but also have a set of 2.25" pipes that turn down at the end in front of rear trike axle.. They are open pipes that I have thunder cone (lollipop) inserts in the end. Ordering a better flowing air cleaner so hoping to let it breathe a bit better. Other than that just a bone stock FI EVO 80" that has just over 30,000 miles and runs great. A new 113" engine is in plans for next year or maybe next winters project but I do not need to go 100mph nor race light to light. It gets up and moves good enough for me but since I already have the power commander I'm going to play with it. Eventually swapping to a carb but my M&M has no issues yet so its just run what ya got for now. Thanks guys.

After adding the high flow exhaust and high flow air cleaner you will be doing what many refer to as a Stage I mod.

IMHO you will certainly feel a difference by also adding a good tune to that combo..

Enjoy....

Unbelievable the cost for a high flow K&N air filter for my bike but $65 on amazon vs $80 at DK for the same part number. Life goes on. Live fast ride hard, empty wallet.
THANKS ALL!!!!
