Do not waste your money on HD ones. They are stupid expensive. I sprayed mine with gloss black paint and they look great.. for 3 bucks. It's crazy that HD wants over 200 bucks (last time I checked) for piece of plastic flimsy rings.
I was looking at buying the black ones for when I install my CVO gauges, and then saw how expensive they were. Might need to follow you're example.
Put a set on my 2021 TriGlide and have no complaints. Now, I don't have the OEM guages that drip moisture or whatever it is inside the speedo and tach lens.
Have DD on my 19 TG. Love them. No problems at all.
As far as digital goes, I like the Koso gauges, been thinking of getting one for my Softail. They do make a set for touring though depending on the year and fill up the available space much better than Dakota IMO. Also has the 24 hr format!
Ordered a set of these for my Street Glide last night. Found them on eBay A LOT cheaper than the $1080 on Koso's website. Only $794! Got great personal reviews on them from some friends of mine. I have 30 days to try them out. I'll start a seperate review thread about them after I get them and install them...........
I just have a hard time with the way the square box in a round hole looks on the DD's, otherwise, I might have gone that way.
Have a question for those with the DD MLX-8414 gauges: Does the Trip Hour display pull the total engine hours off the ECM? Manual doesn't give much info on that.

nope, time the engine has been running since last reset (I reset each trip, use it to measure saddle time before I need to rest my hip)
Yeah........ sorry buddy........
Just got mine the other day and LOVE 'EM!!! Very happy with both, looks AND function! All kinds of cool data to geek out on, lol.........

To me, that looks MUCH better than the square peg in a round hole Dakota Digital gauges. Koso's look like they were made for the application instead of a "universal fit" like the DD.
