I went with the HD "Tall Boy" seat, I really wanted the Road Zepplin but didn't want to pay the $800 bucks. Tall Boy was $285 after discount at the local HD. I'm 6-3 and it was/is night and day better for me. I also added a sheepskin cover, love it.

Thats my take..Do some searching you can find them used for about $125-150.

To add to this I understand that Mean city cycles www.meancitycycles.com will overhaul your stock seat to move you back.

I have a 36" inseam and if a solo seat is what your looking for, I recommend the Corbin Hollywood Solo like the one pictured on my bike. Perhaps not the best seat for long hauls but I have taken mine on 1000 mile + trips with little a$$ pain. I have the Corbin Dual Tour on its way for when the wife rides. Had it made for my longer legs. Should be alot more comfortable too. But be ready to pay for them if thats the route you go. Just my .02

I'm 6-9 and have a 38in inseam,so I know cramped.I took mine to local shop that does car seat and stuff. They took 3 1/2 out of the back.I'm still cramped, but I'll live withit. The Tall Boy for the 05 Classic from HDonly give you 1/2 back and 3/4 up.Not enough for me to spend 300$ for. I paid the shop 100 $ for the work.I also have the 5in swingout highway pegs that let me stretch out.

I'm 6'4" - 34" inseam and don't want to sit higher... Not only do ya get more wind but it changes the way the bike handles and a taller seat looks out of place... I went the other way... LOWER... Put on a Sundowner Deep Bucket Seat.... Lowered the rear and the front.... Use my Hwy Pegs like there fwd controls (shift & brake with my heals)... I just set back against the back rest have my Wild 1 Mini Apes adjusted right & I ca ride all day with no problem...

Corbin seat will move ya back - If you live anywhere Hollister, Ca - It would be worth you time & $$$$ to have them build you one while you wait

My stcok Road Glide seat actually gives me pretty good room for my 35" inseam. Bought the "Tallboy" seat for 2-up riding and really feel cramped with it. Didn't seem to move me back much at all.

I'm 6' and have a long inseam, the stock Harley FLHT Standard touring seat for me pushed me up on the gas tank as did my 2002 FLHTC , so as with the '02, I went with a Corbin Classic Solo and pass. pillion and LOVE IT ! They are very pricey, but in my book, worth it . They have an extensive website and can build a setup to your specs. Just don't buy it from them online, they're prices are alot higher than thru an independent shop . My local indy saved me close to $250. over their website listed price on the entire setup .
