I called Zanotti also...backorder...but I went tomy dealer and explained the issue & told them Zanotti would send it for $198...he matched it & I'll pick it up tomorrow. I'll repost when I install it this weekend.
This strategy worked for me too but with a twist. The only reason the dealer had one in stock was they had ordered it at the Dealer show.According to the service writers they have yet to install one on an 07. So I offerred to be the guinea pig if they would match the mail order price and I would give them feedback on the results. They did. Of course based on the feedback in this thread, I am confident it will reduce the vibration and transmision noise.

It goes on next week.

GREAT twist...I may try that when I pick mine up tomorrow.

It does not show up on Zanotti's backorder list. They just don't have it in stock? Takes about a week for them to get it and then it goes out.

Thanks for that information. Anyone have any insight on belt adjustment? Guess I could do a search. Seems like I've seen it discussed here before.

That's great! I always like to give the local guy a chance at coming close.. they come close I buy from them.. I'd rather give my local guy the money and build a relationship with a dealer or even an indie.. sometimes they can't come close and I buy from the Zanotti's of the world.. but many times just asking and pointing out the availability gets you a decent answer. (at least with other vendors I've dealt with, I admit I'm new to the H-D Dealer mentality that is sometimes encounters.. "you don't buy it, the next guy will.")

Let us know how you make out.

Ok...GOT IT !!! Now I'm psyched ! Gotta find time to put it on. It turned out to be $198...$210 with tax. It cost $18 to press the bearing which sucked but all in all I'm very thankful to BATTLEFIELD HD. I may get it on tomorrow of Froday and report back.

BTW...they have two more in stock...I'm the first sale of this part for them. Most of their staff didn't even know what I was talking about.

IMO, THIS IS THE BEST $213.00 I COULD EVER SPEND ON A $24,000 BOX OF ROCKS. THIS IDS INSTALL TOOK CARE OF ALL THE ULTRAS CLATTER, CLAMMER, AND ALL THE OTHER CRAP YOU GUYS ARE WHINING ABOUT. BIKE RIDES LIKE A DREAM, NO MORE 3,000 RPM TO RID YOUR CLATTER. 2,300 FOR ME NOW AND SMOOTH SAILING FOR ME. SHIFTS LIKE A HARLEY SHOULD, UP AND DOWN. SO YOU GUYS WHO WANT TO WHINE ABOUT THE WHINING, GO RIGHT AHEAD.I HAVE BETTER THINGS TO DO NOW,LIKE RIDE. GOOD LUCK TO ALL WITH YOUR YOUR CLATTER BOXES.

My 5th gear clatter, and to a lesser degree, 6th gear, is gone as of today. IDS works.

Had mine installed this week and could not be happier.

On my first test ride I was in forth gear running 35 mph and 1800 on the tach and the bike was smooth as silk and very quiet
