NICE PAINT, Bibleman!!!!!!

Get the touring suspension air pump. Part Number 54603-03A $39.95 on page 457 of the 2006 HD catalog.

A normal tire gauge is not going to give you a very accurate reading, and any compressor is going to give you too much air, which could blow the seals in the shocks. This tool has a hand pump and gauge, plus a bleeder. You can very easily and accurately adjust the air in your shocks with it.

Regards,

Bill
Absolutely true. Another advantage is that it is a Lossless pump - you don't lose PSI when you disconnect it like most pumps. This is important as the actual volume of air is quite small, and any loss will affect the pressure.

DON'T use a Bicycle Pump. And never use compressed air.
Buy the Harley Pump, part number #54630-03 ($40) Anything
else and you could blow the seals.

Sorry Kraigo you are dead wrong! A bicycle shock pump will not blow your seals! How am I sure I use one. So don't give advice unless you are sure!

Since when is it bad advise to recommend a genuine HD accessory that is made for your application? Futhermore 99.9 percent of people that here Bicycle pump... think of a pump you set on the ground, place your feet on the base, place their hands on the handles and begain to pump. This pumping can BLOW your seals. I'm thinking maybe 1 in every 20,000 bicycles sold in this country have air shocks on them. Few people are aware of air shocks on bicycles. A Bicycle shock pump would probably work.
BUT NO BAD AVICE WAS GIVEN!

Reread your post. You said
"DON'T use a Bicycle Pump. And never use compressed air.
Buy the Harley Pump, part number #54630-03 ($40) Anything
else and you could blow the seals. "

My advice to you is get your info correct. I use a bicycle shock pump, it works just fine & in a lot cheaper. It works fine!

I use my compressor, and just make sure it's over 18 psi and under 40. I also tear the tags off of matresses, and pillows.

Skos

Where did I ever say Bicycle Shock pump? I never did, I said Bicycle pump. There is a considerable difference between a bicycle shock pump and bicycle pump. My advice to you is try improve your reading comprehension.
