S&S 100" upgrade
Hi- I have a 03 ultra with tc88. Last year I added the S&S upgrade kit: 509 cams, cam plate, oil pump, lifters, tentioners, pushrods. This year i was considering the 100" sidewinder kit, and a port and polish on the heads. Does everything I presently have sound like it would be compatible with what I want to add? Thanks in advance- Charlie

I have very little knowledge about the various S&S cams....
But as people are pointing out, the question is whether or not the cam you added as a "bolt-in" cam mod, will be the best choice for a 100" Sidewinder kit w/head work.
I would contact S&S and get their opinion....
NOTE: I just saw you asked the same question on HTT. The fellas there are saying you would need new cams. Their advice is almost always spot-on, but I would still contact S&S to see what cam they would recommend...

The 509's are great in a otherwise stock TC 88, good mid range oooomph, the lift is just below the point of coil bind for the stock heads before 2004 IRRC
I have never seen anyone, even S&S say the 509 is a good cam for anything other than the TC88
That being said, you have a LOT of variables in your build plan, and fromm what I have seen and experienced you need to start off with the cam of your choice, based on what you are asking the bike to do ( 2 up, low to mid, mid range, mid range to high RPM, power bands) then once you pick your cam everything else is done to compliment not only the cam, but each other.
This is particularly important when it comes to porting and polishing heads.... a good builder knows how the runners have to be shaped and sized to get the right flow and swirl with the air moving thru it.
As I said above, IIRC there are issues with coil bind on some years of the TC88, you may be better off finding a newer set of donor heads and having your builder do the springs and ports to the cam
