My buddy just bought a 2007 road glide and I checked it out yesterday. I saw that the O2 sensor holes had bungs in them. I didn't get a chance to check out the ECM. I know the cobra 2000 doesn't use the O2 sensors. What other tuners allow you to run in open loop al the time?

I had a power commander 5 without the sensors plugged in. Had the bike dyno tuned using a direct link tuner and we left the o2 sensors unplugged. I'm now using a power vision without the o2 sensors. Can't run any auto tune sessions but that's a small area of the overall picture. I'm still using the o2 optimizers that came with the power commander. They basically send a signal that the bike is running right where it should. Not sure what other tuners can be used without sensors.

I did some research and found that 2007 was the 1 st year for O2 sensors, I wonder if an early 07, say built in 06 as an 07 model may not have the Delphi system?
What was used in 06 and earlier?

Got back to my buds bike and under the left side cover was a PC5.
From what I could find the piggy back system, like PC5, is an Alpha N system. Kind of a step backwards for 2007 being the first year Harley used O2 sensors on all model.
The bad is that there is no consideration for real time varying engine loads without feedback from the O2 sensors.

Touring bike had Delphi open loop starting in 2002. Closed loop 2007.

Maybe the tuner he used is open loop.people were also putting resistors in to dummy circuit.not sure what part the dummied.

I'd look under side cover and seat to see if any modifications

But I guess if it runs ok, it runs ok
