It's not a fad, they have to clear the inner fairing and fuel tank. You're not gonna see a RG with beach bars.

No but the bars are shorter on road glides without trunks. So isn't a fairing issue Not to mention the years ands they didn't have tall bars

I think any dealer is willing to do anything, within reason, to make a sale, including switching bars.

Sharks don't have apes, mini-apes or tall bars. Taller is different from tall. A 4' person that's taller then a 3' person is not a tall person.
