Default Leather Saddle Bag Lid Protectors...

Does anyone have these on their bike? It says in the parts book that they are held on via velcro. Is the velcro stuck to the paint? Can you see it when you take the protector off?

The velcro goes inside the lid....its hidden when the covers are off. They work great..the fit is very nice and they protect the lid....I had them on the last three weeks on the ride to and fromSturgis.

They're GREAT... Got Grandkids and it was one of the first things I put on the Bags... Youngest was use to putting her feet on the SaddleBag Guards with the Road King Classic it asn't a problem but the '07 RG has hard bags & ya just never know...
If you're going to put some on.... MAKE SURE that you Clean & us a heavy coat of wax in the lids prior to installing them...

I have 'em but, in the extreme heat in So Kali, the glue releases when it gets hot. [:@][:@][:@]

Same problem in Az.
I got 3M ClearBra covers on the fronts and tops of my bags, very durable, yet un-noticeable from anything more than a few inches away.
I only paid $30 installed through a Dealer "hook-up"!

Check out ridetek.com to see lidhaulers and then lidsacks. Lidhaulers double as strap-down point for leathers- raingear etc., and for stuff that you otherwise would have left behind that you found on your journeybecause you didn't have the room to carry it. Yes, velcro adhesive to the inside of the lid, failure not experienced yet on vivid black, although Canada don't get them wild spikes that you do. They have done me right and don't look far off from stock covers either.
