I agree, they work great.

The velcro goes inside the lid....its hidden when the covers are off. They work great..the fit is very nice and they protect the lid....I had them on the last three weeks on the ride to and fromSturgis.

I have the Ridetek LidHaulers. They are protecters as well as being an extra place to carry stuff. That have straps attached to the tops that you can strap jackets, sleeping bags or other stuff to them. They even makes bags for them to put stuff in called LidSaks. When not in use the straps tuck down inside the bags. They also have ones w/o the carrying straps called LidCovers. IMO they look much better than the HD ones.

Here is a link to the site to check them out. Ridetek

M&M Cycles sells the LidHaulers and LidSaks on ebay as a package deal for a good price. Click here

You can kinda see what the LidHaulers with LidSaks look like on my old Street Glide here.

Got the HD ones on my bike and love them. Like stated, I've drug my boot across them a few times and am glad they were there. Also, I haven't had a problem with mine coming off from the heat. Not sure if it was the extra cleaning I gave the inside of the lid when I went to apply them, but the velcro is sticking pretty well.

It never ceases to amaze me the info and timing of some of the posts on this board. I put the fairing and tank bra on my Ultra yesterday. I was going to bet the bag covers but ran outa change. [:@]I'm glad I saw these lid haulers, I like the look plus the added storage with the bags. Gonna be getting me some. Thanks for the post.

Did anyone not wait for the 24-Hours for the velcro adhesive to setup? If so, were there any issues?

I removed the original Velcro and cleaned the area well. Bought new industrial strength velcro. Applied it (longer strips) and waited 36 hours. I'm going to wait and see how this works. So far it looks good. The HEAT continues in North Florida!
