I have a similar noise, but it goes away when I apply the brakes. Its a squeal like noise, but it can only be heard while going slow due to the exhaust noise. The funny thing is, the noise started at the rear wheel and then went away and now I have the same thing in the front. The dealer looked at it at the 1000k check but said they could not hear ir, right....

Disk brakes are notorius for making sounds - most are very irritating. Front disks on my RK squeeled something awful until I replaced the pads with something a bit softer.

I don't know for sure, but my guess would be that after the belt gets hot it contracts which will make it on the tight side, and could cause that noise. After belt cools off you do not hear it any more. Just a thought, any body else?

Belt tension certainly should have been checked - good thought.

I have an 06 EGC and it makes the same noise. Wrench at the Dealership said it's normal that his also does the samething. So I have added 2000 mile and nothing has fallen off yet....

ride safe!

ok never thought about belt. does belt tension change with 2 up riding?? never had this whining before do mostly solo riding . have 6,000 miles how much tension is correct? i can loosen it myself if need be.just seems strange that i just heard this out of no where ? maybe its been i have not notice . seems odd a belt getting tighter after 6,000 miles?? i have so-lo kit on but again had it for 3,000 miles with no noise. heck i can live with it bit do not want get stranded ! i jack air psi with wifey to 25lbs .i do not think this should change belt tension. thanks for any input .............tommy
