Default Vent closures for Road glide

How many of you are putting these vent closures on your newer Road Glides that now come without them? Those of you with the older bikes that already have the closures do you use them?

yes, I use them. Open most of the year, closed in winter when the temp drops into the 40’s or lower.

I always left mine closed when I had a model than came with the closable gates (following an encounter with a swarm of bees). My current one doesn't have the gates, so I installed these: https://www.customdynamics.com/dynam...orcycles?cat=2

I was looking at those vent screens, I may get them but looking into the closures also. Did you notice less buffeting or wind on you? I have to imagine it would, especially noticeable in cold weather.

I really haven't had a problem with the wind. I leave the top vent open all the time and don't have any real trouble with buffeting. I do close the vents on the lowers because that seems to be the place I notice it the most when the air gets colder.

I put them in my 2021 RGS. I use them in the rain and when it gets cold out.

Same here...I added them to my 2020 RGL. First year I had the bike, before I got them, we were on a late fall multi-day ride when it got cold & wet.
Picked up a couple of big car wash sponges and shoved them in the openings. They worked
And I also added the screens for the summer when the vents are open. You should see the size of some of the flying insects I've cleaned off the screens.

Yup I've added those pretty quick on mine. It does help riding in cold weather however with all 3 vents closed I'm starting to get wind buffeting.
