We don't know if FI. But coasting down with FI and dirty IAC can stall. Not sure it effects 4 and 5 gear.

Cycle on off can hear Iac motor, spray cleaner in to hole about 10 o clock behind air cleaner.

Seemed to be more of an issue with later bikes. I need to do mine around 10kmiles. Never noticed it at higher speeds

 

03's had a problem with short/tight fuel injector wires. The conductor breaks inside the insulation near the injector plugs causing an intermittent miss. Replaced both plugs and no more problems! I got DELCO plugs, about 1/3 the price as HD price..

 

And of course if it’s a carb, plugged jets/air passages can cause idle stall and at speed misses. Eliminate what you can, and if you’re not up to YouTubing a carb tear down (if it comes to that), find a reputable local shop to do the work for you.

 

The guy creates the post at 10:51 am yesterday, and last on 11:07. I get it people are busy, Other things going on. But we need some input from him. As in carb or FI.

He must not want an answer that bad. If he is not overly worried about it why should you be?

Or he could be busy like you say.

Or the bike could have stalled at a very bad time...
