Default 49mm Fork Dust Seals

I just replaced my fork seals on my 2019 Ultra, to put chrome lowers on, and noticed the forks have no Dust Seals.
Has anyone ran into this and found a dust seal that fits?
Harley does not make one and I haven't had any luck on the web tracking them down.

Your bike doesn't have "dust caps".... Harley doesn't make them, as they aren't needed... they would be cosmetic only...

The seals you just replaced, keep the dust out.....

Here is the parts pic of your forks, showing the seals you just replaced.... If you replaced them yourself, this should look familiar...

#4 is the oil seal

#5 is the spacer seal

They won't let fork oil out, unless they fail and then they need to be replaced. They also won't let dust get into the forks either....

Hattitude said it best (as always anymore), you're looking to solve a problem that doesn't exist. There are billows and bells, basically cosmetic covers you can buy, but the forks are well designed and as long as you follow the service interval, you won't have issues with them.

Sand and road grime does collect on top of the seals, this pocket is recessed and accelerates seal and fork chrome wear.

Looked into it a while back but also received no answers.

The cow bells give some protection , if it was an issue we would know about it by now as the 49mm tubes were introduced in 2014.

If you want to add dust seals, you can use the ones from any Dyna with 49 mm forks. I removed the cow bells and have been running them for a while now. I'd recommend going genuine Harley... had issues with the aftermarket seals, but issues the OEM.

Thanks for the feedback.
While the protection that Harley has designed does somewhat work, it's odd that the Lowers are designed and have the space for Dust Seals but not available for this application.
I found the tops of both of my seals dirty from road grime which means wear on the chrome, and Yes,I ride in rain but avoid dirt roads.
I change fork oil & seals very often for riding buddies and will definitely find Dust Seals and start installing them as a little extra insurance.
Will check into the Dyna with 49mm forks Dust Seals.

Thanks again for the comments and suggestions.
