Hello all,
Has anybody tried to remove the printed crap from a set of Magnum Shielding Chrome cables? I'm looking to remove the printed/painted line and words "ABS" from the cable and not sure what would work best without destroying the clear Nylon coating. Was thinking along the lines of Acetone but worry that might be a bit harsh.

I'd like to know as well?..................Also if you don't mind me asking did you install taller bars on your RK and if so what size? and what Magnum extended length clutch and abs cables did you go with?.......................Thanks

 

Don't use acetone. I recently changed to the Magnum Shielding lines for clutch and brakes. The Dealer took most of the labels off except for a small area. I used WD-40 and worked great. Just spray some on a cloth and work it on the spot.

 

Picked up 14" KST "Outlaw" bars. As for the cables, I ordered the Sterling Chromilite kit thru the local Harley dealer. Came with clutch cable, front brake upper & lowers for ABS. While I'm into it going to install Muller Power Clutch to reduce my pull effort, heated grips and wire in a phone holder. Should be good times. =-)
