Default Adjustable Touring Premium Shocks

Can anyone out there give me first-hand experience with the Adjustable Touring Premium Shocks? I'm looking at these front and back for my Road King. TIA

Big improvement over the air shocks. A good bargain on the used market at around $150 sometimes less if you aren't in a rush and look around. Just be sure to get the 13" ones marked "standard".

Talking I like em

I have had them on my FLHTK since July 2014 - I really like the ride, much better than the stock air shocks. Its debatable whether there are better shocks than these - Maybe legend revo-A's etc? but these are pretty good bang for the buck. I like the easy preload adjustment with the **** - I think its more accurate than the legends (where you have to twist the whole shock body until you get the right amount of sag). With the hand adjustables you have a reference sheet that tells you how many **** turns for how much weight. I painted a white line on the **** to easier see when I have made a full turn - that was the only modification required. Get the 13" for maximum travel / comfort.

Not bad shocks. I had Ohlin's on my last bike, and that, they are not. But for stock shocks, they are a marked improvement over what HD has been using for years on baggers.

Harley did many things right, but shocks are not one of them - including the shocks you are asking about.

I used a set of rear shocks on a 14 street glide it definitely was better than the Harley air shocks IMO.
Harley ran a 20% off parts and labor for front chrome lowers. When I did the lowers I had the Harley front kit done I am still real happy with the front. Of note I used the medium weight SE fork oil.
I still have the rear shocks they are 12 inch. About 5k miles on them I would deal on them.
I am using the legends revolution A on rear now.

My bike had a set of Xotic air adjustable shocks on my bike when purchased. They were changed out to 12 in premium touring shocks bought used with 50 mi off classifieds To me the premium ride shocks are too stiff when riding solo, I weigh about 180LBS and when set to 0 they still are harsh. The rebound sucks and will shoot me out of the seat on harsh bumps. My bike is a 2014 not sure if the geometry is different on the new bikes. BIL weighs about 230lbs has a 2020 with the same shocks on his bike he likes them.

Really, not debate able…not even remotely.
The premiums are better than the old air shocks. Not a very high bar to begin with though.

For the price of a used set in good shape, it’s better than stock air.
But there is no less than a dozen aftermarket companies that are better, from Progressive to Ohlins…and plenty in between.

As far as front…. Lots of good options as well. As soon as you improve the rear ride, you’ll note how bad the front is.

Let's debate. Please gather some others that might think the same about these OE rear shocks.

I will gather those that believe aftermarket shocks are available that are superior in just about every way.
