Default Saddle bag mounting hardware

What the heck are they called? I am talking about the ***** with the handles that click lock the bags to the bike. I have used a dozen different search terms and none show me what I want. I have a pair of knurled ***** on them now, but just yesterday, when installing my adjustable back rest, found one laying inside the saddlebag.

Any idea what the things are called by HD? I use just about any of my terms on amazon and they pop right up, but I bet those do not have the click stops to keep them from undoing themselves.

I dhould add, NOT the early OEM ones that had a groove in a pin that twist locked. I am referring to the later ones that screw in.

Generally - searching for saddlebag bolts or fasteners works well….

i put these on my ultra - I believe the HD branded parts are like $75 - I have been happy with these at $32.50 shipped - work well

Amazon Amazon

I got these for my Dad - like them just as much, and they are low profile

Amazon Amazon

these appear to be on par with the others as well

Thats almost exactly what I have now, and found one totally unscrewed and laying in the saddlebag. I want something that locks. Wanted to look closely at the H D version, before I look aftermarket again.

JP Cycles has Reda brand that looks interesting, but still would like to know what HD calls theirs, so I can look at it.

that’s crazy, to me, as the L shaped Harley type fasteners are now original equipment, and the knockoffs I have actually ratchet as they tighten down - that would be extraordinary to have one completely back out…..I guess you could put some blue threadlocker on the bolts and tighten them down….

Good luck in your search

Mine are not the L shaped ones, and do not ratchet. What brand are yours?

Searching the HD website returns a "stay in the know" web page. Crazy

These are sold by RickRak … they are dimpled and ratchet down like the OEM, but don’t take up space in the bag. They are pricey though.
