2006 Fork Lock Problem
I was on vacation when I tried to unlock the fork in the morning and it would not straighten out. I checked on HD Forum and Real Hog and found that there was a voluntary replacement of the locks. Some persons got letters from Harley, if you were an original owner. If you bought it used you were never notified. This is a problem that Harley is aware of, but if you have the problem now, you are out of luck. The voluntary replacement ended in December of 2010. So if you now have a problem with the lock you get to get to buy a part that the service department called "recall switch" It will cost around $70 and about the same if not more to replace. They will only sell it as a Harley Dealer installed part

What he said turn the bars hard to the left as you do it. The rubber fork stop on some bikes interferes with the wiring and clutch cable ect by the triple tree. May have to move the rubber fork stop up or down to facilitate or even cut an area off of the rubber stop to accommodate the mess.
