Little help here...Ismy 2007 Street Glide with Harmon /Kardon radio ready for xm activation direct from factory? Or is there a download or something required?

Try $800! I've already inquired about this. And, in addition to the XM module that sits on top of the radio, you also need to buy a separate antenna bracket that costs another $139. Then, add the labor, you'll be spending just about $800.

No need for a mount, just put the antenna in the fairing. You loose a tiny bit of reception, but I haven't noticed it drop a signal except when I went through some tunnels in the Rockies

I have one ordered. It's a large chunk of $$$ but FM in my area svcks and I don't want one bracketed to my handlebars. Dealer estimated 1-2 hr. install but since they owe me a cuise control, I'll have them put it in at that time.

expensive yes, but its nice not to have that crap hanging on your bars...since when is $ a big deal - we have some of the most expensive bikes out there don't we ?

i bought one brand new off ebay $395.00 shipped and i bought the wire harness from zanotti $20.00 i think and installed myself took longer to remove the fairing than to install the unit! do a ebay search for the unit i'll try to find the guy i bought mine from
