Hey folks

I've decided to upgrade my '05 Ultra for an '08. I really want the ABS, but the extra power and cog wouldn't go astray either! I've shortlisted it to either Pacific Blue/Vivid Black or the two-tone Candy Red Sunglo/Crimson Sunglo. Of course my dealer doesn't have an Ultra in either of those color combos so I was hoping someone here had already taken delivery and could provide a photo. The HD website simulation just doesn't work that well for me.

Any photos would be greatly appreciated - and you'd be helping a fellow biker make the right decision! [sm=smiley20.gif]

 

no pic, but i got to see one locally this weekend... the pac blue/black sled is NICE... a very rich color scheme... you'll like it...

I'd just be calling around, asking for color availability and price. That's what I did, and found the color I wanted at a price $400 less than my local dealer, and still within 50 miles of my house. I know with a trade it might be different, but if you find a dealer with the right color, maybe you can make a deal.

I too also saw one at American HD in Leominster Ma. Great two tone color combo.

 

Saw a Softy Custom in pacific blue/black and it looked sweet!!! Funny thing is I don't like pacific blue as a solid single color at all. In two-tone it looks much better.

 

I completely agree MM... dealer had a two tone Blue/blk and a monotone pac blue... blue and black looked WAY better...

 

i bought one last saturday... havent taken any pictures yet, but maybe later today...
i love the colors....i had a red one bought first, but it didnt run right so i took it back and said no deal,
then i found the blue/blk... glad i did...later db

 

Thanks everyone - and congrats to Don B on the new Scoot. I'm sure you'll love it. I'll like my '05 fine, and with the bigger tank, extra cog and few extra ponies, I think I'll like the new one even more.

Sure am looking forward to seeing those pics though - mine doesn't arrive until October. Waiting, waiting...

 

I saw a Pacific Blue/Vivid Black Road King Classic at Pikes Peak HD a few days ago. My first impression was of the 'richness' of the color combination. I really liked it on the RKC and have to believe that it'll look great on an Ultra.

Saw the blue/black combo on a SofTail the other day...much better looking than the Pacific Blue alone, IMO. I'm waiting for my dealer to get an EGC in that color.

I saw the two tone red on an Ultra....man, that aint right. [:'(]

Of course that will be someone else's favorite color...and so it goes.
