Clearwater lights. These are the Darlas. Very bright. It has a rheostat that I mounted on the dash to adjust the brightness for driving around. They go to high when I put my high beams on. Unbelievably bright.

I have the H-D 7" adaptive day-maker headlight, does exactly what yours seems to be lacking and fills the voids (especially into a sweep)

how would it compare against a set of aux lights? I doubt it's gonna fill up the road ahead as much as three bright full LEDs, but I find riding at night better that driving my car (if that's a comparison)

is it worth the Harley-Tax?
no but I got a steal on eVilbay and I believe you can get after market versions

*I also fitted a set of Aux lamps to a buddies Road King Special, but not with the cross bar post#3. The Ultra has a mount that replaces the OEM turn signals and drops them under the passing lamps - post#8 seems to have found a kit to do the same. You may lose your custom dynamic strips though

It seems like when I get off an exit and go into a sweep the beam just doesn’t hit the sides (that’s what she said !!) I’m thinking of mounting something down on my crash bar…most likely some fogs or at least lights with a fog beam option, as we have a lot of it in the spring and summer months in the morning. So what are y’all running? I’d like to see some crash bar mounted lighting… I have a ‘19 SGS, so it has the chopped engine guard…

Changed my yellow turn/run lights on my Street Glide to Custom Dynamics LED inserts. Bright yellow for turn, but bright white for run.

This is an older pic I took with the high beam on which sort of overpowers the running lights, and I typically wouldn’t run on high in fog, but I’m real happy with the easy improvement.

Some great examples here…thanks to everyone who shared. I saw the Harley options, I’ve already ordered a set of these crash bar brackets from my local HD, not sure if I’ll use them but since everything seems to be back ordered or shipping at a snails pace I went ahead and let the semi-hot parts chick talk me into placing the order lol (just the brackets, not the lights). I have a set of Tractor Supply specials that I actually bought for my Jeep that I might temporarily mount as a trial and to get a general idea of how much more light they provide.
NorthWestern- I’m with you on the looks aspect of the situation. Most of the mods were done by the PO, including the forward lighting, and that was one of the things I liked most about it, the clean and uncluttered look. For that reason, I have considered one of the adaptive headlight options but if I can find a decent looking set of lights to put on the crash bar and avoid spending damn near a grand (I realize all brands aren’t that expensive) then that’s what I’ll do. Someone asked which headlight I have, it’s a non-adaptive Harley light, I can look for a part number when I get a chance, installed by PO. Thanks again to everyone

Understood. Sounds like you already have one similar to mine. I went with the JW Speaker 8700 Evo 2 LINK but it is not adaptive. The difference over the stock halogen was incredible. JW Speaker makes the Harley light, and of course have their adaptive available under their name LINK

I have ridden mine in every possible scenario of weather, light conditions, terrain, etc., all over the country without issue. I am, and have always been intrigued by the adaptive light.

Post up your experience with it, if you get it!

Looks like you made a choice. A riding buddy has the Clearwater Ericas mounted on his forks below the calipers. Those things put out way more light alone than his high beams on his SG, but they are crazy expensive.
