The cable comes down on the right hand side tube of the frame along with the handlebar wiring. It does look tight and note that it comes in contact with the engine guard when the handlebars are cranked all the way to the left.
They only went from hydraulic to cable a few years ago. I wonder if in the future there might be problems from the kinking and rubbing this routing method causes?

Does anyone have a pic of the nacelle apart to be able to see how HD actually routed the stock clutch cable please? 21' King.......................My buddy had someone install 12" Carlini gangster apes and he was told that he would be ok using the stock cables, well upon my inspection Yes the stock brake line is fine! but not the Clutch cable! so I'm in the process of ordering the correct extended upper clutch cable from Magnum just not sure if I need the 4" or 6" extension but was also told to route it just like HD did........So in otherwords I need to get a proper length once I route the stock cable back in place first?.......................Hope someone can help me out T.I.A,

I think the +4” extension is what you want. I used a 6” extension from Fat Baggers and probably really only needed a 4” extension even with the 14” bars. I had excess cable after installing the extension that needed to be tucked further into the fairing. You won’t have anywhere to hide the excess on an RK.

I don’t have a pic of the factory routing on an RK, but I think it would have been very similar to my ‘22 SGS that I just installed 14” KST Bison bars on. My clutch cable routes just like in the pic above, from right side of neck, then around front of neck back through to left side of bars.
