The wife tonight gave me the green light to buy an Electra Classic. I've been looking at one, and will touch base with the dealer more than likely on Monday. I'll keep you informed!!!

Good on ya' Stevo! Just curious if you've checked out a Road Glide? One of the coolest looking bikes with a fairing IMHO. Either way you're gonna' have a winner. Have fun.[8D]

 

I've looked at the Road Glide.. very torn between the two. I like the rear end of the Electra Classic vs the Road Glide. For some reason, i feel the rear end of the road glide just doesn't look quite right.

 

Interesting...most have problems with the fixxed fairing. I had a fixed fairing years ago on a Honda. Took some getting used to when taking a corner at slow speeds at night. Dern headlight was always pointed straight ahead.

Hey guys,

Several of you are recommending the Ultra Classic. I told just sold my Goldwing and will just about be able to pay cash for a new Ultra. I also thought the Road Glide really looked nice. Any comments would be helpful. Also, I was wondering about those optional laced/spoke wheels compared to the cast wheels that are stock. I am in the Dallas area. Does anyone have a dealer they have dealt with that they can recommend. I have been to one over in Fort worth, but they have added $2500 to MSRP and laugh at the idea of taking any less for the bike.

at first the dealer I am dealing with was 2k over MSRP. I told him that I would go somwhere else and get it at MSRP, and he said they would negotiate.
