OP, not sure if you’ve done this, but it would definitely cause an issue if your phone is able to still connect to the bike.

Great feedback to know. About to make the switch to the gts on my 18 RGS.

 

Tried to hook up CarPlay given that I have the WHIM
But I seem to have a problem
When I go to settings and try to enable USB carplay, the iPhone says press the voice button if you have wireless.
Since I have selected USB, I don't; because I have the USB plugged in.
So there is a dialog that says searching for vehicles and it sits there and spins and does nothing from this point forward.
I have given it a couple minutes....
Nothing...
Does not work with Iphone 6, 7, 9 en 10.
Does not work with 4 different Apple cables.
Does anybody have any ideas?

 

Jeankok, mine is doing the same thing. Got no clue as to the fix.

Did you have your wireless headset connected? Not being a smart ***, a headset(mic) is a requirement for CarPlay, and I am not sure from what you wrote above, even if you have your phone plugged in to the USB... and the voice button is the other part of the left blinker button.

 

you make no mention of turning on your headset, it wont work without a headset.(and yes you use the push to talk button on the bars to talk to siri, you have to hold it down while talking) mine works and turns on no matter what order I do it.

 

I know a bunch of this is about whim equipped bikes, but mine is a wired headset. It worked sometime back, but couldn’t figure it out again. I think tech has passed me by.

 

My wireless headset (HD 50S) is connected. I reset the Boombox GTS, reset 50S, updated everything.
Turn on Bike
Turn on headset
Wait for Boom audio connected in headset
connect phone everything works with the Boombox but no CarPlay.
Does not werk with iPhone 6 TO 13.

I have road glide special 2021

 

Fixed problem, my dealer lives on the same street as me and has come to look at the problem. The problem is the Boombox GTS. Next week they're going to install a new one.
