New GTS radio but no CB
#13
Nice update. Not sure which year it was that HD quit putting a CB as standard. My only guess is the new GTS does not recognize the older CB modules?
Do you actually use the CB? It’s only been turned on once on my bike and that was by accident.
Good luck getting it worked out.

The GTS radio DOES recognize the CB. I did this upgrade the first month the H-D upgrade was available.
The problem here is the dealer doesn't know how to flash the radio to recognize the CB. If they can't figure it out, find another dealer that has techs that know what they're doing.
Also, you should get the CB & CC functions swapped (put CB function back on the left side, CC function on the right). This mod is done with Tech II tool too. After reprogramming the modules, just pull the switch covers off & put the back on the other side (no tools required to make the switch covers swap).

Interesting Diag4Bike menu list. Looks way less complicated than Tech II screens I've seen. I also see the option is still there to allow the external GPS systems (that were standard on some CVO models & available in P&A catalogs (Road Tech Zumo 660 & 665) from pre-Rushmore years to be fully integrated with the newest radios (Audio Input 3 - Interrupt Tone Detection). Nice.

What I wish, is that they had a manual that went thru all the screens and told what each item was and what the available options are... None of the 3rd party programmers do a very good job of that.
For instance, I THINK "Digital Audio Broadcast" should be enabled on mine... but I am not sure, so I have left it alone. There are so many more things on the other screens that I wonder about too
But I know what I know, and more important, what I don't know... so for me, "I don't know" means leave it alone.... everything's working, so I don't just keep fixing it until it's broke...
