I like it, and a one handed connection at knee level would definitely be convenient, but I would be reluctant drilling holes in my $$$ facia. Looks like this Optimate panel mount would fit the OE $2.20 rubber facia plug.
It requires an 18 MM hole, which is roughly the size of a dime (dime placed in backside of plug for reference).
The 40” plug & play cable would reach the factory connector under the side cover to keep the connection out of the elements. Screw up the rubber plug on the install, or sell the bike, you're only out $2.20.
