Default A bad day in the parking garage!

Well -- there's my bike, minding her own biz in the parking garage at work - -and some &^%$# backs into my bike! To make a long story short, he admitted to the cops he was at fault, and also told my insurance the same thing, and he is willing to pay for all damages - -so, I have to go to the dealership for an estimate - -A good ending to a bad situation! (so far!)

Mna-

Sorry to hear that, but how lucky you are to have the guy found, admit it, and he even HAS insurance.....

It will be fine after the repairs!

Sounds like its a bum deal, but its seems to be working in your favor so far. Even the damage doesnt look bad.

Dude,

You'll rememer that you and I have pretty close to the same bike...I clicked on that link waiting to get a sick feeling...

I think you did pretty well all things considered, and while I do agree with Ironhead, it does suck, it could be worse!

Glad it's going well so far, please keep us posted...maybe an opportunity for a custom paint job????

This estimate just in from the HD dealership in Fairfax - -

1 Fender light kit $26.99
1 Front Fender , FLHTI/ Chopper Blue $350.49
Labor= 1.7 hrs = $136.00

Total with sales tax and shop fees, $536.64

As for custom paint, no MAC..I'm still too broke for that! But, I will swap the cast metal fender trim out for the chrome model trim for a mere - - 24 bucks -- and I'll be adding the skull medallions on each side for extra gleam - - (glad I didn't do it earlier this week!)

Now let's hope they pay up!

Glad to hear it's working out for you, and sounds like the scoot gets a little upgrade as well!

don't ya just hate bone headed drivers? had a bad experience this weekend myself. wife and I come home friday night, and some freakin *** hole drives his truck through our fence, across the yard and gets stuck. good right? well no, then when *** hole is trying to get unstuck he or she backs up and slams into our enclosed bike trailer before leaving. neighbors didn't see a thing, one neighbor heard my two german sheperds barking for a few minutes, thats it. Had to be some freakin drunk, cause when they got out to push on the stuck truck they lost a bunch of **** out of the cab. Bacardi bottle, vodka, full pack of cigs, and best of all the detachable face plate for his or hers 250 watt JVC stereo. At least they got no tunes. oh, one more piece of evidence a piece of paper with a phone # and adress and directions. looks like something you would wright down if you were going to do work on the property. I'll be checking this out monday to see if there are any trucks there with damage.[:@]

Dang BigB,

How bad is the damage to the trailer? I hope not bad. Sounds like a great opportunity for a butt woopin'!

Let us know what you find out...

Danester, congrats on the upgrade to Electra Glide. I doesn't always turn out that good. At least you can still ride...
