Default Brake caliper

So I bought my bike May 26, 2021 haven’t rode the bike it set up in my garage for most of the time because I only had my permit I finally got my license and decided to take my bike out and put 100 miles on my bike over the last four days and today out of nowhere I wasn’t able to stop my bike because my brake caliper came off it’s too late to call Harley because they’re closed right now but I was just wondering has anyone else had this problem is it normal and what else should I be looking out for

Brake calipers falling off is not a typical thing. Did you buy it new? Is it under warranty? What is the year and model and how many miles on it?
BYW, this area is for forum issues. You're having a bike issue, so try posting in one of the tech sections.

!0 months later you find this? Gotta feeling you are going to get nowhere with the dealer, they probably don't even remember you. And agree, falling off calipers on a new bike is not common..

Holy crap! Someone didn’t put the bolts back in. That could have ended bad.

Could someone have tampered with the bike while it was sitting. I see the mounting bolts and the bolts that hold the pads in are gone. Could have been some sleeping on the job at the factory. Will be interesting to see where this goes.

Nearly 13 years I've been on this forum, and this is a first for me. I wouldn't hole my breath with the dealer repairing this as a warranty item.

I would go buy a lottery ticket though. Just sayin'!

Seriously...you say a brake caliper fell off a new machine, and you ask if this is normal?

Were you tinkering with the new bike while you had it in the garage for 9 months?
