Maybe i'm missing something, but I have a male "cigarette" plug that has a USB slot on its face. I plug it into the female "cigarette" port located on the lower right of my bat-wing fairing and run a cord to my iPhone.......seems super easy, maybe too easy.....am I missing something?

RKZen, Nice and clean. I like it.

I really thought about the accessory/ign on decision quite a bit.

Seems to me it boils down to personal preference.

knew that I didn't want a 12v HOT wire available all the time. Just seems to me it is way to easy to run down the battery without thinking about it. Connected to the ign/on means that I just have to go for a ride to charge the battery when camping!!!! That can't be a bad thing.

I decided to save my accessory switch for something else. It really is redundant with the charger.

My bike doesn't have a built in Cig lighter/12 v connection. What I did was add a 12v SAE accessory connection, that is switched from the forks, under the seat. I am not utilizing it at this time, but in the future will probably add something. I just wanted a small, out of the way, charger for my phone so I could use the GPS.

I mounted a USB port on handle bars , I was installing new bars so I ran wire internally up to grip area. Works great for me because I have phone mount next to it
