The only thing I would want to do to it would add the red rocker base. I really like the subtle accent like the CVO's have

Agreed and I was actually planning to order accent parts by Rebuffini. They are a high end builder of custom Harley parts based in Italy. Here is there website https://www.rebuffini.com/en/

And if you watch this video at the 3:50 mark and forward, you will see what I mean. Not cheap but plain BAD ***.

I suggested that he wait a few months to see what 2022 offers. No, he was very impatient and wanted it now. Two weeks ago I was talking with him and he is kicking himself. Trying now to work out a deal to trade a 2021 with 2k miles for a new solid color. I doubt he'll be able to make it happen without a huge loss. Actually his two tone color has really grown on me. But the solid would be my choice!
Yeah. And speaking of HUGE losses wait until these 2022 buyers get raped over the coals a couple years from now when they go and try and sell or trade in. You better make dam sure you don't pay all these sur charges and extra dealer mark ups because you aren't getting that money back. Then add in the depreciation of the bike as it ages. Can you say $10k loss. Ouch...

Buy the way that Gauntlet Grey and Black looks great. If you can get a good deal go for it. 👍

Just need to put on matching black rotors and it'll be perfect.

I have the two tone. I really like the black accents with the blue pin stripe!

Originally my thoughts were Vivid Black and blacked out or nothing.. but I have to say, this scooter looks pretty damn sharp in the photos.

So tell me more if y'all have a scooter in Gauntlet Gray, the good, the bad and the plain old fugly.

Peace out ..

Great looking color scheme. Much better as a solid color in my opinion.

The only thing differently I would do is below!

With the blacked out frame and what not, the grey looks stunning

Drooling while strolling through a dealership yesterday I saw one on the showroom floor. It really stood out amongst the crowd of black bikes.
Everyone walking past it stopped for a look.
I can imagine the color would really stand out when rolling down the road.

My two previous (non-Harley) bikes were black. Black bikes are classic and beautiful, but do show dirt, dust, and swirls/scratches more than most other colors.

When I bought my Road King, I had an appointment to look at a black one, but when I saw that brilliant silver paint in the sun, I knew that was what I wanted. It looks light gray in the garage or a cloudy day, but has metallic flecks that sparkle in the sun. I like shiny things.

For me it would be no hesitation- I would get that 2021 gray bike you posted rather than wait on a black 2022 (assuming the deal was acceptable). I also agree with the person above that mentioned some red pinstripes or accents.

But ultimately it is what will YOU be happy with - if you are set on a black 2022 and know you will be disappointed with anything else, then wait for what you really want.
