Default oil cooler install

Can you install the cooler with out draining the Oil? I have one on order and should be here in the next couple of days. just wondering before i get it

I guess you could, but since you have the oil filter off might just as well change the filter. Since your changing the filter might just as well dump some amsoil or mobel 1 in it.
You will need a large allen socket or a bolt with 2 nuts to tighten the oil filter thing. Do a quick search for installing an oil cooler.
