A set of Ohlin shocks on my '14 Ultra created a new bike. However, you will pay for that luxury. And the only **** I got after making the change was my wife asking after every ride, "why'd you wait so long?"
I'm looking to replace the air shocks on my 2014 Ultra. Same color as yours actually. Mind telling me which Ohlin shocks you got?
I think I see your problem.
You said you have the shocks cranked up almost all the way.
Try cranking down the shocks to about 10 and see how it feels.
The higher you set them the stiffer the ride will be.
this is what I'm thinking.....your giving too much resistance to too little weight....relax the shocks a bit and use more of travel to more gently absorb the bumps
No matter what setting I put my stock cvo shocks on I couldn’t get the a$$ end to move at all and I’m 245 lbs. with my RWD’s as soon as I sit on the bike it’s nice and squishy or I can dial it up stiff if I want. The **** on the stock shock seems useless to me.
Bought a new cvo sg and no matter what I did to the stock shocks it sent shockwaves through my spine when hitting a bump. I replaced the stock 12 inch shocks for a set of 13 inch RWD RS-1’s and it made a tremendous difference, money well spent for me.
A few years ago I learned the SG had the 12" shocks to lower the stance and add to the coolness. Many on this forum learned this is where the harshness originated and went to 13" shocks, You have to figure out what shock you want to run.
