Default Floorboard removal

I've searched the sight and couldn't find posts related to what I'm considering to do to my '17 SGS. I'm considering removing my floorboards and heel shifter. Some of you guys are gonna jump on my $hit for considering it and expect it. If you guys didn't, I'd start to worry...

Any way, here's why I'm considering it. I don't use the heel shifter nor do I use the floorbards. I have highway pegs on my crash bars and find them super comfortable when I ride. I'm looking for a board to peg eliminator setup in chrome. Any help is greatly appreacted.

Thank you...
George

FYI, I had similar thoughts about my '05 Road Glide about 10 years ago. Bought a set of forwards from someone and installed. I loved the look. Two weeks later we road the bike to NH for Bike Week, after about an hour they were literally torture devices!!! I just could not get comfortable and my legs were all cramped up.

Got home, took them off and returned them, stock floor boards back on and happy riding again.

Just my experience, do what suits you and good luck.

Thank you and definitely appreciate the input. I saw them on a friends bike and that started the whole thing. An impulse…

Heel shifter was the first thing I ripped off when I got it home.

I moved to the bagger from a Dyna, so it took me a minute to get used to the boards. Love them on the long trips, now. The conversion did cross my mind, though.

Forward controls will also make the bike more difficult to do tight, slow speed, maneuvers.
