Default HD vs SS big bore kit

Considering big bore kits for my 2005 ultra classic and would appreciate comments from members as to thoughts on HD 88 to 95 kit and SS 88 to 97 kit. Any real concerns with the SS products vs HD? Cam upgrades, SS head upgrades?
Thanks!

Many have bored the stock cylinders to 95 or 98 with good results and less money.
Same goes for working stock heads , IIRC `05s are known for problematic valve seals

I have had good luck with my S&S 100" Kit in my 06 Ultra now for two seasons.

may want to post your questions on building your 88 in the engine mechanical topics section. wealth of knowledge there that don't really post in the touring section. and yep..I'm sure they have experience with them both and can provide more insight.
good luck with your project

Talk to an engine builder and get a package that meets your riding habits and motorcycle and do it all at once. Bore stock cylinders, a little headwork, the right cam, and proper tune.
