2006 Street Glide won’t start
Last night after turning the ignition switch to off the dash lights (gauges lights) stayed on. I was able to get them to turn off and went to bed. This morning in an attempt to start the bike it won’t start, the radio turns on but it seems like when the ignition switch is turned to on it’s acting like it’s in accessory mode and the headlights won’t turn on. Could it be possible the ignition switch housing be unaligned ?

There have been several reports lately of 88" twin cams (probably due to age) having console mounted, ignition switch issues....
It's possible your ignition switch is showing its age too.....
I bought a used 2016 Ultra classic that had an ignition switch problem. The prior owner obviously forced it now and then, it would turn past "off" easily, and get out of alignment.
I realigned it with the special tool several times....
I eventually took the ignition switch off/apart, and found the ignition switch housing has plastic "tumblers" that were badly worn... I replaced that housing and it has worked flawlessly since...
I replaced the #16 ignition switch housing which fixed my problem but let me keep my original key, #17, which is a metal part and had no wear/issues......
