One thing I think we can all agree on is that you have one heck of a beautiful Street Glider Special Cosmic! Thanks for sharing the pictures and your mods. It's fun to see what everyone does to their bikes to make them stand out and to personalize them. You've done a lot in a very short amount of time. I agree shocks should be on your list if you'll be doing a lot of 2 up riding. You say that you're keeping the engine stock so does that mean a a stage 2 with a nice cam is out of the question?

Thank you. We really enjoy the Stage III in the CVO Limited. It gets her done in a bold fashion and it's loud! I am actually enjoying this stock motor. Today we were cruising some back two lane country roads at 55 mph with corn fields both sides and could see the mountains in the distance. The bike was as quiet as the area we were riding in and the stereo sounded good. It was very pleasent. I will never say never, but the engine has everything we need for what we are using it for.So no plans at this time for a cam.

A few shots from today. We worked like dogs around the house. The wife moved 6 acres, I trimmed, changed the oil and filter on the mower and in her Ford F150 pickup. We headed out late around 4:30 and the weather was absolutely beautiful. Great ride and got our frist 500 miles on the clock.

Three month review:
We love this bike! It has been a blast to ride locally. Have completed the 1000 mile service, added the Saddleman bolt and cover for the seat. The CVO slip ons off the 2017 were stupid quiet. Even more so than the stock pipes. Dennis Kirk had a special on the Cobra Neighbor Haters for $311.00 shipped and I decided to try them. We are very pleased with the sound and tone. Great choice for the money. Orderd some axle nut covers right after we got the bike and they finally came in. I cannot say enough for the seat. When time comes to replace the seat on the CVO it will be a Saddleman. The quality is second to none. Yes they are somewhat hard. But I actually like that. They do not collapse and leave you without support like many.

I installed the LA Chopper Twin Peaks bars in black to blend in with the inner fairing. When with black Kahuna grips which I love and have that style on the CVO. For the record the LA chopper 12 inch bars are shorter than the Yaffe 12 inch Monkey Bars we have on the CVO. I still like them a lot.
If they had been slightly taller, or if I had went with 14 inch they may have worked with the stock mirrors. In a couple of the pictures you’ll see both the bar mounted mirrors and the stock fairing mirrors. I have pulled the fairing mirrors off and plugged those holes.

beautiful rushmore (i know, poking the bear, lol)
a flush mount fuel cap would look really great on that tank.
if you're interested in having a second exhaust on hand (you know, if you ever want to change things up), the fullsac cvo cores are great with the cvo mufflers. the 2.0 that i had on my bike were the perfect mix of sound and performance. in fact, when we were looking for an exhaust for my wife's 2012, we put a set on her bike as a temporary measure. she ended up selling her bike in 2019 and still had the fullsac on it. so i guess 7 years could be considered temporary, lol.
also, in ref. to shocks. if you get a good set of 13'', when you set the sag properly, they'll be close to stock height, or maybe even a little lower. those 12'' 'premium' hd shocks just don't have any sag to them at all.
