Sir,
First off please accept my sincere apology. I was in a bad place earlier and for some reason this set me off. I am not proud of my reply to you. You are a Patriot, American and biker. Most importantly a veteran which deserves our respect.
As for Rushmore and M8 we can agree to disagree. I think we are both spliting hairs. The whole Rushmore program was frame, passenger room, fairing vent, tire sizes, boom audio, handling, etc. They used the stock 103 and 110 engines that were already in production for years so nothing new engine wish. In 2017 the MoCo did quit using the m o n i k e r "Rushmore" but the bones of the bike are the same and the engine was the change. The Milwaukee 8, for born in Milwaukee with 8 valves. My bike looks like the Rushmores, not the 2013 and back touring models. My dealer says in court you may win but did confirm that my bike is technically a Rushmore with the never M8 motor. I have been posting in the Rushmore section since we got our 2017 and not a single issue. Many other the same. The M8 section seems to be more for just the motors. So to me you guys do not have enough sections and you moved me to a section that is 8 model years prior to what I have. Your the boss.
Maybe:
Touring 2013 and earlier
Rushmore 2016 - 2016
M8 Touring 2017 - Current
Got out and rode with my lovely wife tonight on my 2021 FLHXS (Rushmore M8, whatever) and the weather was magnificant. We went near the Virginia border for dinner and back to our little town where there was an outdoor concert and memorial to 911. Did a lot to clear my mind and help me just to focus on counting my blessings.
God Bless America.
Mark

Apology accepted. You do know we have a Rushmore section and an M8 section. They are very different engines. Rushmore was a 4 year run, 2014-2017. It was then replaced with the M8 with 8 valves. You are the only person I have ever heard call the M8 a Rushmore.
Good day.
Good day.
The Rushmore was introduced in 2014 with no engine changes except a different cam. It was advertised as having a newly designed fairing, new heavier front end and forks, new canbis electrical and offered a infotainment system. Some Rushmores came with the hand adjustable shocks. That's all the same to date on the Touring models. The 2014 thru 2021 Touring has the all those same "Rushmore" items. The engine didn't make it a Rushmore because it wasn't changed in 2014, it was still a 103TC.
To me the Rushmore sub board is about useless. Why have a board dedicated to only three years of the Touring model? That was only 2014 thru 2016. M8 was introduced in 2017.
Not my sandbox so I don't really care! I'm just a visitor. I do agree there should be a M8 Touring section. The present M8 board seems to be all over the place, covering anything and everything M8. Covers Softtails and Touring models. Those two might share the M8 in name but different motors and totally different frames. Just my opinion.
OP enjoy your new scoot. Looks great!

2014 to 2016 was TC Twin Cam 103 & 110 CU. In 2017 Harley introduced the M8 MOTOR. Yes I am very aware of the M8 section, but as mentioned above I looked at it as an engine section and not a bike catetory. I am definately not the only person I know that refers to all 2014 and later as Rushmores. All good!

Just a quick scan over the first three pages of the "Rushmore" section and there are multiple threads on 2017 and newer bikes with M8 motors. Guess that is partly what set me off as I have posted there for four years now with our 2017 CVO with M8 and no issues.

Yeah we know the advantage of tuned suspension. I hear good things about RW, but George and DJ at Pro-Action have been wonderful to work with and I will be sticking with them. I agree the 13's would be best, but my wife really digs the look of the SG with the 12's. We'll see.
Hey, Hey, Hey. I will probably put up with it until spring. We rode it about a 100 miles before I even adjusted the stock shocks. The were set way too soft. Now they are not bad, but not premium by any means. The real down side is I rode solo with some guys from church last night and left them in the setting for two up and it was like a log truck. That is the real problem with the stock Harley suspension. I am spoiled with just getting on the Limited solo or two up, no adjustments and awesome ride.
I'll keep you guys posted.
