06 ultra or classic ?

RE: 06 ultra or classic ?
Spend the extra couple bux on the Ultra. I bought a 05 Classic last year and did Stage 2 to it this summer, thought I would keep the bike for years. In September I road away on a 06 Ultra and still have a big smile on my face. I decided that the Cruise control and the Intercom would be nice to have, it made more sence to buy a new bike rather than add the stuff to my Classic. Like someone else said, when it is all said and done the title will say either Ultra or Classic, that means something down the road when you decide to part with it.

What's $2000 when your spending that kind of money? I bought an Ultra and took off the Tour Pack and made it look more like a Street Glide. What's nice is the Ultra has all the upgrades the Classic does not. If you're seriously considering the two bikes, I recommend the Ultra.

I have an Ultra that I have stripped down. It doesn't cost anything to take stuff off(except if you want a quick detach tour pack). It took a couple of hours to change it all, but I still have everything up on a shelf. In just a few minutes I can change it from local cruiser to cross country touring bike. Get the Ultra.

I've had both, and I'm going to recommend the Classic. Unless you think that you'll use the intercom or CB, which I wouldn't
I didn't like the lower fairings on my Ultra (too hot), and the rear speakers seemed to get in the way. My dealer is installing cruise control for $400. If your dealer is charging you $900, that seems very high.
