Mueller/Rekluse/AIM Clutch Modification
#11
If you ever decide that you want to install a Rekluse torq drive clutch , stick with their slave cylinder. I originally installed an AIM, (3 times after 2 leaked) I wanted to get rid of the aim SDR and go with the torq drive instead. After I installed the clutch, neutral was nowhere to found. Couldn't get the bike out of gear and would severely creep forward while in gear as well. Spoke to AIM about the cylinder, they were clueless about the Rekluse clutch. Called Rekluse and explained the same. They told me that their slave has a slightly more travel than the AIM. That travel is needed for all the clutch plates to release. Installed the Rekluse slave, and it works perfect.

On the commute in this morning, the clutch lever contacts the bar when fully engaged, and this is with a 3/4" bent Sofbrake clutch lever, and the Aims LF2. With the regular 1" softbrake clutch lever you're running, and plans for an upgraded slave cyl, you won't get enough lever travel, to fully engage the clutch. We tested mine when install was completed at 71 newtons of force? (I think? and can't remember (Imagine that!))
