Default Pipes for my 07 SG?

I am getting pipe's soon for my 07 Street Glide. I am leaning towards the Rhinhart TD's. I know have read that they have different baffles so this has made even more choices to make. I want some more sound out of my bike but I don't want it really load or too load thatI can't hear the stereo. Any suggestions on some pipes other than the Rhinharts or what baffle I may be looking for?

I've heard you need RH mufflers to use with teh tru duals, but don't quote me on that. If it's tru, then there have been problems with discoloration on the slip-on tips...as discussed on this forum. just an FYI

Also looking for the same thing, but think I'm going with Vance and Hines setup.

Hi Bowhunter,
Just did this thread last week. I came to the conclusion hat stock pipes are the way to go for me. My reasoning is that the ppes require new mapping, to take advantage of the the new free flowing exhaust you should probably have a stage 1 kit. In my opinion and to coin a phrase, from another member why put headers on a cadillac. For the moneyvs the amount of futzing around it just didnt seem worth it for me. Just my opinion.
Good Luck

Have you thought about Bassani pipes? Once I heard these pipes I was hooked. I removed the fiberglass from the baffles and gave it just enough bark. Wife can still hear the tunes and you don't **** all the neighbors off. I went with the flipped scallop cut. Good luck on your choice!!

I read about the disscolor, thought I heard they got it fixed. I am also looking into the V&H.

Do you also have the power curve headers? How loud would you say this system iscompared to Rush or Reinharts? Where would you say they rate as far as tone vs. the other two? I love Bassani's products and that's what I've used on my cars, but I wasn't certain how their motorcycle products would sound. I've heard most people say that the two best sounding offerings are either Rush or Reinhart, and I've been eyeing a set of Reinhart TDs mainly, but I'm concerned they are going to be too loud to hear the radio without the quiet baffles which is just more overall cost. I know there aren't that many out there with Bassani bacause it's reletively new in the HD motorcycle realm, but I really like their power curve design and the flipped scallops are awesome looking!

So are the quite baffles extra or can you order them with the quite baffles in place of the standard?

Quiet baffles are extra. The sound level of rineharts is much better with ear plugs.
