Default Looks of Street Glide vs Road Glide.

I find it interesting that when I look at pictures I like the Road Glide better but when I see them in person I like the Street Glide better. Weird.

Not that this matters any and looks are a personal preference but does anyone else feel this way?

I also notice the Street Glide is $300 more then the Road Glide. I'm guessing it's a popularity tax because why else would it be more? Lol. I'm thinking more people buy the Street Glide and feel the same way i do.

Always thought the road glide looked a little off, always had bat wings. I bought a road glide in 2019 and won’t go back

Prob get a bunch of responses going either way. Both have their pros and cons which are discussed here regularly...

That said, I like the Road Glide for it's obvious Pros (handling etc) and also because it looks like a more modern bike, looks a little better with Apes over a batwing, and the dual glove boxes are nice to have.
Beyond that, I've owned many batwings, and would own another, but man these Road Glides are great...

I never liked RG, but when I see pictures of some of them, they look really good. The only thing with RG that I don't like is how it looks to me when I sit on the bike. the HU is far away, I don't think I would be able to read what's on the screen. Then the gauges look out of place to me. You have two right in the handlebars and then one on each side of the fairing. The whole bike feels way to "open" for me when I sit on it.

With SG, I wish all the weight wasn't there on the handlebars. I like how everything is in my face, gauges all in the row...and I can read the screen which is easily accessible. I wish SG had two headlamps. That would just put the cherry on top of this thing. RG looks nice and aggressive at some angles.

I have yet to ride either so this post is only about my opinion on looks..I've always rode Softails and RoadKings. I have sat on both of them at the dealership and to me at the stand still the Street Glide front end feels lighter and more manageable I would think while its rolling it would be even better. Anytime a bike is moving you feel much less of the weight. I understand that the Road Glides fairing is attached to the frame and technically should make it handle better while moving. But I'm just saying what the Street Glide feels like to me at a stand still. Plus while sitting on the Road Glide it feels huge and heavy and even looks much bigger in the front end. Reminds me of a giant boat. Lol.
