Default Avon SS Grips

Man, I like them! I had the the Defiance grips, which were installed by the previous owner, but I am not crazy about them.

Avons are little thicker, but the rubber feels really good.

Another successful impulse purchase after reading these forums lol

Do you have to glue the left grip on? I got a different pair of Avon on mine right now and I'd prolly have to destroy it to remove, I installed it like a golf grip.

Their shop is literally 5 miles from me and I've never been lol. All my bikes and I've only had one set of grips on each so I haven't really had the need. But if I were lookin id go there. I hear they let you mess with all of them to find the right ones

I put those on when I replaced my bars, I had no idea what a difference they would make. I typically just stuck with the stock grips in the past. Really like them.

I've had luck using the little red straw that comes with WD-40, lifting the edge of the grip and spraying the WD-40 between the grip and handle bar. Do this a couple of times over the course of about an hour, let set for a few and twist the grip right off. NO damage.

Worth a try.

some grips (worked on my triumph) - pry it up just enough with a flathead to get some soapy water sprayed in, then use an air compressor to blow air in, keep spraying soapy water as you get more access

Avon makes some nice grips. These look good, is the rubber soft of firm?

Nope, I didn’t use any glue. Took 15 minutes to install, being very careful with the controls.

I really like them.
