Brakes and tires are not worth waiting to replace, or to use cheap parts to save a few dollars. It's just not worth it.

The Dunlop tires have always cupped for me, and I'm fairly cautious about inflation. I've used Metzler 880's on my Heritage and they have lasted and held up well. I'm currently running new Michelin Commander III on the Road Glide because many people I know have used them and not experienced the cupping. We will see how that goes.
