Yes they will work. You just don't have much angle to play with but they work. I have them on mine and they are great.

Is there a better option?

The Tour Tech Cruise Mounts would probably work better with lowers. They sweep out a little more. I'd never be able to have lowers with my Longhorns because of the way I need them positioned.

BTW the Tour Techs are the same thing as the HD long and short angled highway peg mounts.

The angle I am speaking of is: turning the pegs inward-toward the motor or outward-away from the motor. All the other is useable. The bolt that is on the inside will hit the lowering fairing if turned to much inward or outward. i really like these because there are so many ways to adjust for your legs for comfort. I am short and have mine turned slightly toward the motor. This way I have more ways to move my leg. I can put my heel on the floorboard and upper part of my foot on the peg or put my entire foot on the peg. Long inseam may want to turn them outward toward the front wheel so you can really stretch out.
They also make a set that connects to the bottom of the floorboard part number 7915
It connects on the inside of the floor board so they will not drag in a turn/curve. They also make a lockable off set for the 7915 that gives you more flexbility. As all kuryakyn pegs you can pick which peg you want to use.
I have not used the 7915 so I am not sure if they will work. I always give them a call and check what will work.

When you fold them up are they out of the way or still sticking out pretty far on the sides?

I was debating these for my Ultra. As far as I can tell, these mounts are the same as the Harley 360 degree adjustable Part# 50832-07. If these mounts are the same, Maineultraclassic has them on his bike and said they work fine; you can see a picture of them on his bike by going to the member list and checking his homepage.

Another option is the offset mount by Kury. These come with either small, large, or dually ISO pegs. (Kuryakyn part #’s 7998, 7999, and 7993). I stopped by a local shop and these appear to be a good option for bikes with lowers. These mounts may have a better angle for foot placement once mounted. Not sure though. What I don’t want is a set of pegs that make me twist my feet/ankles outward to fit my feet on them; I want something that is slightly angled back.

I may pick these up today and if so, I will post the results.

I bought the Tour Tech Cruise Mounts for my previous Road Glide with lowers and they worked out really well.

This is what Kuryakyn says about their Tour Tech Cruise Mounts:

Recommended for: H-D touring models, FLSTC, or any model using 1-1/4" Engine Guards. Works great with Fairing Lowers! Sold in pairs.

See them at: http://www.kuryakyn.com/products.asp...ey&ci=3249

I have the long ones (pn 4526), and they clear the lowers, putting the inside of my foot about an inch outside of the lowers. I could move them out further if needed.

The way I have them set, I can either have my heels on the boards and toes on the pegs, or put my feet up on the pegs completely.

Only concern I have, is that the inside edges of my feet will rub against the lowers, and mar the paint along the edges.
