Default KST 12" Spearheads on 2021 Road Glide

I'm installing a set of KST 12" Spearheads on my new 2021 RGL. My understanding was that stock cables would work for up to 14" bars. That may be true with a hydraulic line on the clutch side but I'm having a difficult time with the cable clutch on the 2021. I really don't think it's long enough unless I'm missing a trick. Also, how in the world do you route it out of the nacell even if it were long enough? I have the same question for the brake line. With it routed that way in the pic I don't understand how the cluster will go back on. Am I missing something basic here?

Ok, so maybe I found the problem but I need a little advice/help... I got to thinking - what if I was sent the wrong height bars. I looked at the box and it's clearly marked 12". When I measured from the center of the base clamp to the top of the "meat hook" its 14". Is that the correct measurement to figure out rise or do I need to measure from the center of the base clamp vertically to the center of the end of the grip to determine rise? I'm a little confused on that. If the 14" measurement I took is correct, that's the problem... They won't work with factory cables. Electronic wiring works fine but brake and clutch are a no go. Thoughts?

Those are the correct bar , measure from the base to the grip . Just finished putting a set of 12" bars on mine , understood that I would not have to change the brake line or clutch cable , wrong , needed at least +4" to make it work , clutch was fine . I think it really depends on the width and pullback of the bar that determines whether or not you need to lengthen your cables ,

So you had to extend the brake line but not the clutch? Or both? Just verifying.

That's correct , just the brake line , the clutch cable had plenty of play , although , you having a fairing , that makes it a different beast entirely . I went with the LA Choppers extended brake kit , If there is no way to re rout your cables , I would look at those or Drag Specialty's .

I did the same bars on my 18 RGS and had no fitment issues. Your bars look taller than mine do.
Edit: Just went out and measured mine and they ar 12 inch from base to meat hook so i would say they sent you the wrong bars

This is measured from the center of the base to the tip of the meat hook. Looks like 14" to me. Agree or no?

I'm going to say the 12" measurement is from the centre of the bar at the riser to the centre of the bar at the hand grip. Have you watched the kst roadglide install video? Even though it is only for up to 2020, it may give you some tips on routing for the clutch side. Route your cable the same way they route the hydraulic hose.
