Default Has anybody has a front wheel drilled and trapped for the Drive pulley

I have an 07 ultra that i'm trying to put a 16" by 3" Air Strike rim on it in the rear. The rim is a front rim. The offset will work. but the drive pulley bolt holes are to small. I have a friend that can machine them to the correct size. Has anybody ever done this?

I have not however assuming the bolt circle is the same there is no reason it can`t be done , plenty of "meat" on that hub

Are there issues with the depth of the bearings "pockets" ?

I did this several years ago and have had no issues. I drilled with a hand drill then tapped

You can also drill/tap the Rotor side to 3/8" while you're doing the Pulley side.

Your rim/tire will move slightly closer to the belt (that can be a problem for 2003-earlier bikes with a 1-1/2" belt). The hub width and centerlines offset (hub and rim centerlines) are not exactly the same as a rear

.

I have done this myself no issues for many years. I drilled and tapped myself. Use proper bolts when installing
