Default Rear Saddle Bag Guards

Hey guys, I want to install the saddle bag guards on my 2021 FLHXSE. Thought it would be a 10 minute job, but NO, can’t just remove the outboard bolt above the muffle bracket. Too long, not even close to wiggle it out. Only thing I’m seeing is to remove the rear light lenses and them MAYBE there will be enough room, but I’m still not sure. Anyone have any ideas? OH, and I looked at the HD instructions and it just says to remove it! Not happening on a CVO. Thanks. BF

Came across this Saturday on my wife's brand new SGS. I removed the filler panel nuts on the one side and carefully pulled back the filler panel just enough to get the bolt out. It's almost like they put the bolt in backwards. After I got it all together, I found that the lower part of the bag rattled on the new support bar. Cheap Chinese junk. I ended up ordering the Drag Specialties Big Buffalo guards and should have them sometime this week. You have to cut the front of the support rails with an angle grinder, but they are pretty quick to install.
