Default 2021 GTS Apple Car play "Hack"

I've seen a few posts on other pages, (FB) about a plug with jumpers that let's Car Play work on GTS without buying the hundreds of dollars WHIM module. Any links on building my own? What pins are jumpered? I am getting a service manual when it comes in. I might be able to figure it out with the wiring diagrams. Just wondering if anyone has made their own yet? (The ones I'm seeing for sale are 25.00) Figure I can buy plug, pins and make my own for less than 10.00.

I don't think the people who have figured this out and are selling the jumpers for $25 are going to hand over the plans for you to make your own.

Real easy to make your own. I pulled mine apart after I got it and was surprised at how easy it would have been. Not huge $$ to purchase but wish I'd known then what I know now.

Thanks a ton lefty! RiderX,, I kinda think it's the same as the guy selling Bagger Bolts for what,, 39.99? When for 12.00 you can go to LOWES and get the J nuts and knobbed screws x 4. i have the part numbers if anyone needs them. I'm all for free enterprise, but also not going to spend a ton for "Convenience"

Depends on how you look at it....what is your time worth?? Figure a trip to Lowes and back for me is about an hour...then what...20-30 minutes to dig out all the tools to do the work, then do it, then put it all away...for either the ***** or the airplay plug....you can also look at it form this guys POV....figure he has to make the thing, then pack it, ship it, etc...you want me to go to a post office that is worth at LEAST a 6 pack of beer! (10 bucks) LOL So 25 dollars isnt exactly him raking someone over the coals...probably BARELY worth all the inconvenience...

Wish I would’ve seen this a few days ago…lol.
Good stuff, thanks. Now, I need to figure out how to run a toggle switch to my accessory panel to I can switch this off when I want to use my wired headsets for wife and I.

Thanks guys.

Once you figure that out, please post if you don't mind. I've been wanting to do this as well. As much as this hack works great, once the wired headset is plugged in...not so much.
