The one I got was $49 (link in previous post). The guy uses the 7 pin headset connector and looks better than the $100 cigarette lighter plug. Sorry for the huge pic.

If you know how to use a soldering iron or crimp tool you could buy a standard 7 pin DIN plug and make your own. I posted the pinout for the dash method in another thread.

 

How does this work with a Cardo comm system? Would I sync my Cardo to the phone or GTS once I've installed the hack and have CarPlay working? I assume "Hey Siri" and "Hey Cardo" would still work right? Is it possible to listen to the music from the speakers in the bike, but accept phone calls via the Cardo? Sorry, I'm just a bit fuzzy on this integration.

Here's what I do with my Cardo PackTalk Bold (no WHIM or Freewire). Pair the Cardo to my iPhone & pair my iPhone to the GTS. This way I can communicate with others, if a phone call comes in, it shows up on the GTS screen. I can choose to answer it with the Cardo or ignore. Very rarely will I take a call when riding...it's my escape to get away. As far as music is concerned, I listen to my music via bluetooth. I can toggle between listening through the Cardo (helmet speakers) or my upgraded bike system. To do this, bring up AirPlay on the iPhone and check which music source. Haven't figured out if I can get voice prompts from the GTS like Nav but don't really care about that. This works for me and my needs...may not be for you. Love the Cardo by the way.

If I want CarPlay then yes, I use the one that plugs into the headset connector on the tank console. I very rarely do that though as I'm not that big a fan of CarPlay. I know many are not, but I'm pretty happy and pleased with the GTS functions and full integration of it on the bike. I use "Hey Cardo" to activate whatever I want on the Cardo.

 

One more question: would a stock 2021 Street Glide Standard (not Special) have the center console port, or is that a H-D add-on? If add-on please let me know the part number.
